This place is just amazing, and totally different from other parks around Iowa. What makes Ciha Fen unique because the nearby Cedar River forged its creation into a wind deposited sand-ridge. To read more about it, I will link you here. But it is home to several rare species of plants and animals. Several gorgeous ponds adorned by giant oak trees, in fact most of the trees out here are very old oak trees above a blanket of prairie grass. The trails here can be a bit unreliable and in the summer, the grass can be hard to overcome, so I look forward to seeing a more clear path taking shape.
