All 176 Acres offer a diverse variety of Iowa wildlife to enjoy. It is a bit out of the way so you are sure to be the alone when you go. There are several ponds and creeks that have carved away deep dramatic ravines which give way to bigger older trees. There is some prairie near the entrance and down the middle. Trails out here can be somewhat unreliable once you get into the thicker areas, so this is not a casual stroll by any means. Since it is a long drive out here, we usually also visit nearby Richardsons Wildlife Area. Here is a link to a PDF of a trail map w/ aerial view.
